Official education sources for addiction treatment and mental health professionals, with our take on audience fit and what registration requires.
By Hour Well Spent editorial · Reviewed October 9, 2026
Use this guide to choose where to look. For an upcoming session with an audience note, schedule and access details already reviewed, browse our selected webinars. This is a selection of useful starting points; an organization’s inclusion does not approve every event it offers.
Start with the hour your team needs
Choose the audience. Clinical technique, treatment leadership, coding and patient access require different kinds of education. Match the learning objectives to a decision or task.
Choose the format. Check whether the offering is an upcoming live webinar, a recording, a course, a conference or an in-person event.
Check the conditions. Confirm time and timezone, fee, account or membership requirements, presenter and sponsor, and the credit rules for your profession. A free account does not necessarily make every event free.
Clinical and treatment-provider education
Start with the agenda and the disciplines approved for credit.
Sheppard Pratt
Clinicians and clinical leaders choosing psychiatry and mental health continuing education.
What you will find
Live courses, grand rounds and workshops, plus a separate on-demand library.
Cost and registration
The education site uses an account for activities and transcripts. Some courses are listed as free; check the price and credit rules for the specific course.
Our take
Choose the live or on-demand section explicitly. Registration for a broadcast and the steps to claim credit can be separate.
Addiction treatment professionals looking for research and professional development.
What you will find
Professional education events, workshops and webinars.
Cost and registration
The education hub does not establish a single price or registration rule for all offerings. Check each event and distinguish a webinar from a longer course.
Our take
Start with professional education rather than the general events calendar. Match the learning objectives to your clinical or program-management responsibilities.
Professionals exploring addiction, family and prevention education.
What you will find
Virtual learning resources; the separate events calendar also contains community gatherings and fundraisers.
Cost and registration
Confirm that the linked learning resource is available and whether it requires signup. A resource page alone does not establish live webinar availability or continuing education eligibility.
Our take
Use the virtual-learning route for education. A gala, community series or self-paced course should not be mistaken for a standalone professional webinar.
Clinical professionals comparing education from multiple presenters and sponsoring organizations.
What you will find
A directory containing live events, on-demand education and other program formats.
Cost and registration
Registration uses a TPN.health account. Price, discipline-specific credits and recording access must be checked on each event.
Our take
TPN.health is often the registration platform. Read the named presenter, host and sponsor separately. Filter for upcoming events and confirm the event is online and standalone.
Compare the organization and service setting in each case study with your own.
NAATP
Addiction treatment leaders, admissions teams and recovery-support staff.
What you will find
A live webinar series and an on-demand member resource library.
Cost and registration
The reviewed live listing is member-only; the on-demand library is described as exclusive to members. Check your organization’s membership and the individual event fee.
Our take
A strong place to look for treatment-program topics. Sponsored presentations can be useful; compare their learning objectives and commercial affiliations with the problem your team needs to solve.
Behavioral health leaders and operations teams evaluating service models and organizational strategy.
What you will find
Executive education webinars and case studies; other education formats appear elsewhere on the site.
Cost and registration
Reviewed case-study listings are free with an OPEN MINDS Circle account. Other offerings may have different access conditions.
Our take
Check the case-study setting. I/DD, public-sector and crisis programs can offer transferable lessons while differing from a private addiction or mental health treatment business.
Check the payer, service setting and workflow before applying a general healthcare example.
American Medical Billing Association
Billing and coding staff considering broader healthcare education.
What you will find
An annual sponsored webinar series, distinct from paid courses and conference recordings.
Cost and registration
The linked 2026 sponsored series is advertised as free. Its stated credit conditions include full attendance; AAPC and PMI credit requires live viewing.
Our take
Check whether the topic applies to your behavioral health service setting and payer mix. General medical billing education is not automatically specific to addiction or mental health programs.
National Association of Healthcare Access Management
Admissions, patient access, revenue cycle and IT teams assessing workflow education.
What you will find
Live webinars alongside workshop series, packages and networking products.
Cost and registration
Prices vary by product and member status. Some sponsored webinars are listed as free for both members and nonmembers; others have a nonmember fee. Registration uses a host profile.
Our take
Many examples come from hospital patient access. Check whether they transfer to your treatment setting. A workshop package or networking series is a different commitment from one webinar.
A promised replay does not mean that the recording is available now or carries the same credit as the live session. Read the accrediting body, profession, attendance requirements and any expiry date on the host’s page. Keep the host’s registration confirmation; a calendar subscription does not register you.
Our audience notes are editorial judgments based on official education pages and saved source reviews. Costs and access can change; confirm the specific event with the host. Nobody pays for inclusion. Editorial standards · How we review sources.
