Connect the work. Grow the value.

The value of AI can extend beyond individual tasks. This session takes an operational view: connect departmental work to a shared goal, use the organization’s knowledge and build routines that can be reviewed and improved. More output is useful when it contributes to the larger operation.

An open program knowledge book, hands reviewing a draft and an archive of approved pages. An ochre paper ribbon loops back toward the book, showing how reviewed corrections carry into the next attempt.

Start with an organizational goal.

AI can help people complete tasks and produce more. For leaders, the larger opportunity is to channel those capabilities toward growing value across a multi-department operation.

In this Census PSYGNALS session, Kevin Zundl explores how to connect AI work to organizational goals, draw on knowledge across departments and build repeatable workflows with human judgment and accountable ownership. The focus is how the work contributes to the operation as a whole.

In 25 minutes

  1. Start with an operating goal

Identify an operational goal where AI-supported work across departments could contribute value.

  2. Connect the departments

Identify the departmental knowledge, shared standards and inputs that goal requires.

  3. Build the workflow

Outline a repeatable workflow with clear ownership, human review and a way to carry approved corrections and staff knowledge forward.

  4. Assess the value

Define how to judge progress against the operational goal and improve the next cycle of work.
